The lib desire to correct the record, to argue honestly in terms their opponent doesn't even believe in has driven me insane watching it for the last 3 decades. They don't care about family or science or the laws of government or even the religions they pretend to believe in stop falling for it.

I just opted out of streaming music altogether. I'm over this shit, man. I'm going analog as much as I can. I liked having a house phone. I liked records and CDs. Just because we CAN stream music and carry our fucking phones everywhere doesn't mean we have to.

Someone recently pointed out that the algorithmic suggestions that streaming services make are never as broad ranging or as likely to return something interesting than just flipping through the bins at a record store or looking at the shelves at a video or book store.

The day after the 1980 election a girl who was in the homeroom next to mine (this would have been 5th grade) stood out in the hall, unable to move, sobbing for what felt like forever until the rest of us got hustled inside. Her name was Erin and she clearly had a good idea of what was coming.
