Hey, I'm Mogs and for the last 6 years I've been the host of the MogsK Streaming Experience, a personal creative project/motivation to actually play the all the games I discover that's kinda hard to pitch succinctly, so I'll pin this thread of my work, and if you like the vibe, come check us out!

After reading this i understand now how sony got connection with production I.G. (Yarudora, the granstream saga, WA2, Love & Destroy, Popolo 2)

"Shirow was a big fan of the Jumping Flash series we created, and he brought the plans for a GitS game directly to SCE".

Starting to realize that being on Rexulti for a year didn't actually "cure" my DID so much as it severed the divine thread that allowed me to clearly perceive and communicate with my alters as opposed to just receiving alien impulses with no discernible source except "Coming from inside"

More folks should check out The Dark Eye, an adventure game from 1995. The game uses stop motion animation to tell stories by Edgar Allen Poe and features narration by William S Burroughs. Playable in ScummVM too!

My greatest hope is that people never assume I'm just phoning it in when what I'm actually doing is stumbling around the boxing arena of life swinging limply at the air after taking several hits directly to the head.

Hey its serena. Hard deleted everything because my mental health was in the pits. Works out because I hate having more than 100 followers but

would appreciate boosts so i can find everyone again

All were still great tbf! I'm just really scrutinizing past me's decision to be like "Hey, let's reorganize this with no attention paid to the actual theme, and then leave a little mental note for future Mogs acting like we knew what we were doing."

My original lineup for this had two ~3hr games back-to-back, so I decided to switch stuff out, and idk if I was just going off vibes while in a fugue or w/e, but only One (1) of these games is Japanese.

The last one was made by a team headed by Slowbeef, the revelation of which hit me like a truck.

Tonight's stream is "Super C̷u̷t̷e̷ Scary Experience", celebrating J-horror!

Featuring a selection of one of Chilla's Art's earliest games, a game inspired by Forbidden Siren's sightjack system, and a one-room existential horror about being a reclusive NEET!

Starting in ~45min @ www.twitch.tv/mogsk
A banner reading "Super Kawaii (cute)" in katakana, except the 'ka' in kawaii has been crossed out in blood and replaced with a 'ko' while the second 'i' is also crossed out, turning it into "Super Kowai (scary)". Beneath it is the word "Oboe (experience/memory)" in kanji/hiragana, splattered with blood. A group of youkai are gathered around the text, including a giant skeleton which holds up the right side, a large cat that holds up the left side, a torn paper lantern with a mournful face, two goblins, and a humanoid creature with an eyeball where its butt would otherwise be. Arranged are four steam games, Go! Go! Hamster Chef, Blame Him, Horse, and Atama.

I am all for any and every opportunity to dunk on white Maoists, but the very real danger of liberal grifters pushing the idea that these tactics alone will defeat fascism, and using that to de-radicalize and de-escalate, is, I think, the more pressing thing on display here.

This video is everywhere because it's a hilarious visual refutation of Portland being on fire. You can't get a mass movement going without convincing the masses

so yes, this does do something actually

This literally does nothing. You are not beating fascism by dressing up in inflatable suits and dancing

Portland is leading the way. This is how you (non violently) beat Fascism. Humor and ridicule are key.

Did you know: Phil Stark, the guy who wrote the screenplay for "Dude, Where's My Car?" went on to become a psych and wrote a book titled "Dude, Where's My Car-tharsis?"
A light blue book cover. In large black text it reads "Dude Where's My Catharsis? In smaller purple text it reads "A friendly and engaging guide to talk therapy". Below that in white text it reads "Phil Stark LMFT" The back of the same book. In the lower left is a photo of Phil Stark with a neutral expression. The back copy reads "Dude, where's my car-tharsis?" In this friendly and engaging guide, Phil Stark uses his trademark wit and warmth to describe and explain the process of talk therapy, including what brings us to it, what it's like to experience, and what we can hope to get out of it. Topics include: Anxiety, relationship conflict, depression, parenting, addiction, divorce, shame, the midlife, anger, and more!

Phil Stark is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Los Angeles CA. He is also an author and screenwriter, with credits including Dude, Where's My Car?, That 70's Show, and South Park. Learn more about Phil at StarkTalkTherapy.com.

Both stem from the idea that art exists only for “me”, specifically it exists for my pleasure, my relief, my escape, and if it fails to provide these things, then it fails as art.

Having to censor a Shintaro Kago clip to comply with Twitch TOS by pixelating the nudity while leaving the gore untouched has me really feeling a certain way in this particular political moment.

Maybe this is only news to me, but signal boosting this anyway because it can't be understated what a treasure trove this archive of Game Freak's zines is. These volumes only show up VERY occasionally online and command a lot of money; obtaining a full set to scan would've cost thousands of dollars.

People have said we're crazy for making a game like this, but we love it.

Ever level of Shroom and Gloom is created with 1000s of layers of illustrations. Don't think folks understand how fun it is to building a world this way!

"Clanker comes from Star Wars" yeah? So you think the same era of the franchise that gave us JarJar Binks wasn't kinda dancing around in messy territory by insisting the slur they invented for droids include a hard 'r'?

Idk man, at least ask yourself why that's the shit you reach for is all I ask.
mogsk.bsky.social
Like, I'm sorry the staff of Bluesky are fucking stupid, but feeling vindicated in going to the mat for your right to not question why you feel catharsis from just barely not saying racial slurs just because they decided to draw a response to a nuanced topic in crayons is not the cool dunk you think
mogsk.bsky.social
I think using slurs for AI is bad not because it's gonna hurt a piece of software's feelings, but because, if your frustrated impulse is to anthropomorphize it just to call it a slur, I think you have some shit to unpack, especially when you're coming up with terms like "wireback"
