The wrong people own the future, your friends are imprisoned and the world is about to end. There’s no more time for deliberation.

It is time for desperate actions.

It is finally time to end the Age of Reason.

Virtue’s Heaven is now out on Steam:

Well, the debating wasn't the effective part, the part where it also made enemies so pissed that they lost almost all of their defense was what made the move so strong.

I do find it very, very funny how Debating enemies was the most universally effective way to deal with them.

JRPG Game patch notes:

The Discourse Tree now reprimands* you when you commit physical violence to it, while under the effect of "Aura of Civility".

I also changed how Man's "Debate Me!" move works to make it a bit less universally powerful.

The steam page for Dungeon Encounters is so funny.

Almost every evil thing the game does to you is displayed in the screenshot reel.

stumbled into the Steam Forums for Dungeon Encounters just now (don't judge me, please) and there's a 15 page thread from 2022 where people yell at each other whether or not the Hamster status effect is "good game design".

Ever realized how close we were to having our Cells be full of Gnomes?

All this ever does is facilitate a culture of fear that is mostly aimed at people who exists at the margins, or are just trying to get their foot in.

None of this is helpful, so throw the graphs away and do something better.

Over ten years now that we're doing this dance every few months and nothing ever came from it, aside from asshole takes about how smaller games are taking over space for more "deserving" ones.

Friends, the number of games coming out will not go down, unless something deeply catastrophic happens, so I think we should accept it and move on to some more productive discussions.

Spicy food is the only thing that makes colder weather sort of bearable.

in general, I think I need to have more enemies that put status effects on the player.
mokkograd.net
totally forgot that this game has a status effect that just obscures parts of the battle UI for the character that is afflicted by it.

I've already put so many funny secrets for myself in this game, it's amazing.

I also realized that it is actually possible to survive the Mouse Murder attack, which right now *also* softlocks the game, because the Big Mouse will keep trying to kill you.

Fun Bug I just found in JRPG:

Getting murdered by the big Mouse softlocks the game.
The Mouse is supposed to ruin your day, but not by *that* much.

just wait for me to eat my words, it will happen.

Last time I imported my entire options menu system from on one project into another, it required me several days of shouting to get it all working correctly.

This time it was an hour of pressing buttons, seeing what crashes and fixing things.

Helps that it's much, much earlier in the project.
