Downloaded SECOND IMPACT so I can re-read it properly this time, and man I am such a sucker for the Siegfried/Cecilia romance. It's not really doing much that's new but it's done in a very simple, direct, and earnest way that makes it work. #Bowers3rd

And then there's a new novel series I've been picking away at an outline for. And of course my "fuck you, Collective Shout" visual novel.

But the plot is complicated, probably too complicated, and I need to take another couple passes over the outline for the first arc of the series to make sure it, like, makes sense and works and isn't just complete nonsensical jibberish, plot-wise.

I have another series I have a first draft of the first novel done of, but that one needs a lot of work, too. I decided to revamp the setting quite a bit, to give it more of the aesthetic I was picturing (and also make things easier on myself narratively speaking, lol).

Like, that was not my intention when I started; in fact the whole "crippling depression" thing hadn't even been planned, but yeah it came out feeling like I was absolving myself of all my sins and it just felt gross.

I finished a first draft of the first novel but I didn't really like it; the protagonist had depression & wasn't very nice to some people close to her as a result and the whole thing kinda felt like I was trying to excuse my own similar behavior from back before I really knew what was wrong with me.

If you ever come across a website that does a CloudFlare security prompt, and it asks you to "copy" something - DON'T. This is an attempt to get you to run malware. It's becoming more common.
