fao: Rachel Reeves,

Before raising tax on my meagre (worst pension in the EU) pension can you advise if the disgusting tax cheat Nadim Zahawi has paid back the millions he owes HMRC. Has Hunt paid the back tax on the flats he ‘forgot’ bought

Hit the charlatans Rachel, not the poorest in society.
This needs reposting again!
Waiting for that tipping point when most sensible people realise that transporting a single 80kg person in 2.5 tonnes of SUV was not the height of technical advancement but peak stupidity for the human race.

Thanks for the info. I'm finding that I'm noticing and really appreciating all the different builds of bikes and the environments they are being used in in my feed recently. Long may it continue!
I'm imagining a film being made where the two of you go out, alone, month in, month out, in good weather and bad. Sometimes it's even sideways rain and birds go flying past backwards.

After a while someone else comes along and joins you and then another then groups and before you know it... Boom!
What kind of bike is your bike? Or, what are the tyres? From your other pictures it looks like a fast road bike but it also seems to be happy riding through muddy forest trails as well.
The ad I saw looks like the sort of thing I'm interested in anyway so that's ok

I'm old enough to remember "latch-key" kids. The moral panic in the 80s was kids having *far too much" play time.

Then it was TV, abduction, gaming, sex and violence in movies, murder by delinquents, drugs....

If I were American I'd worry far more about guns and cars stealing outdoor space....
It's a season of mists and mellow fruitfulness kind of Morning!

As far as I can tell, this policy would deport my Swedish wife (who has a well-paying job and pays thousands in tax each year, not that that should decide these things) because she "took" from society by going on maternity leave when our kids were born.
Tory policy is to revoke permanent residence (ILR) for everybody who does not earn £38k - deporting most nurses who have ILR

This is put in the video as "who is unlikely to contribute more than they cost"

NB: video does not say EU settled status is exempt

No govt since Idi Amin has done this
Has anyone ever successfully re-waterproofed an old (no longer) waterproof jacket?

I've got an old & much loved cycling jacket that was an Aldi special buy about 15 years ago, it lets water seep through the arms now which is a shame. I've tried spraying some shoe waterproofer but not much success.
Hmm not sure I should go that way
It looks like something a rockstar goes touring in.
...that front wheel looks suspiciously like it's been hand made?
I've often thought that.
It reminds me of the long journey I took to see my mum in a hospice at the end of her life. I spent the time trying to understand how information could possibly be preserved beyond the end of the universe because this helped me to keep faith in the idea of an immortal soul.
This should still be a thing. Why is this still not a thing?

This looks interesting, desc as a VPN but it looks like a sort of off grid alternative to the internet, using LoRa radios, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, serial lines or anything else that can pass data and turns it into a mesh-based network stack.
Just leaving this here ...

I found an off-grid open source VPN, and it's amazing

UK Cycling Hivemind, a favour please?
I'm looking for up-to-date data on the economic benefits of longer traffic-free cycling routes (such as the Camel Trail, the Bristol Bath Railway Path, etc).
Also, any recent research on the value of cycle touring.
Please repost? And thank you.
