They took his cane and dragged him off by his feet.

This is why I say that ICE enforcement could be a mass disabling event.

This is not an approved carry. This is how you cause injury and disability.

The chemical munitions they use can also disable.

The detention camps are full of disease.

It’s hard to convey just how much Chicagoans are mobilizing against ICE. Don’t want to downplay the harm, or make it seem like a fair fight. But in neighborhoods across this city, ICE is getting chased by people blowing whistles and shouting. People are running TOWARD ICE to protect their neighbors.

Something I find many people - particularly white people, men, & christians especially, people from privileged identities - struggle with is that yes, people can show remorse & grow from a bad act or bad worldview. That doesn't mean they're owed forgiveness or power.

And when they turn around to see what should be a path of destruction, someone has already done all the cleanup and repairs for them.

They need to know what it’s like to clean up their spilled milk and to be held accountable for breaking toys.

Of course we don’t want young, developing humans to suffer massively injurious or mentally traumatizing consequences for a bad idea or error in execution.

We also know it’s counterproductive to have a person grow up figuratively moving fast and breaking things.

Unearned hegemonic advantage produces a caste of people, usually men; Most of whom classify themselves as “white” that come of age without actually having to solve problems or produce and execute constructive ideas.
