I’m struggling to celebrate, just holding my breath

You will never be able to make "data driven" decisions until you realize just how much your decisions are driven by emotions: fear of missing out, defensiveness of your favorite idea, apprehension over something unusual.

That's because there's no such thing as "the data" - only interpretations.
AI is not your therapist. Speaking to your AI tools in confidence does not mean that it will keep your words in confidence. It has no obligation to protect your privacy because it is an unregulated tool. Everything you say is being monitored. Your data then becomes everyone’s business.
can I do that if I’m not a software developer or do I need a title first?

Israel is using Microsoft Azure to store recordings of every phone call made by Palestinians in the occupied territories, then using AI to analyze the contents and select targets. Microsoft is (dubiously) claiming ignorance.
‘A million calls an hour’: Israel relying on Microsoft cloud for expansive surveillance of Palestinians
Revealed: The Israeli military undertook an ambitious project to store a giant trove of Palestinians’ phone calls on Microsoft’s servers in Europe

As soon as I spot AI writing my brain shuts off 😭 I can’t do it anymore
Back to LinkedIn, I wonder how many jobs advertised are fake? How many people have been scammed ?
All our social media sites have been infiltrated by bots, most comments we see are becoming bots trying to rage bait or push for engagement… I wonder how long it will take for all of us to just leave social media to bots entirely, just a bunch of rage bot farms fighting each other while we live
I wonder how many accounts on LinkedIn are bots…
The fact that we are about to design for AI and robots instead of people in the current / near future is freaking me out a lil
Happy to help ☺️
on another note, I wish to be by the sea. It’s criminal to live this far from the sea during the summer.
The only thing that lowers my heart rate in an open office (where some decide to have loud remote meetings without headphones) is this playlist lol
I can’t… every time I hear that phrase I die a little inside
I think the mental gymnastics of fitting data and cherry picking to support your order is straight up propaganda lol. If you decide to run organizations in this authoritarian matter, just be aware of the trickle down effects of this type of system. Jaded employees, politics, no trust…
Fear based decision making tends to create a culture of intense risk aversion, dim on creativity, and overall fatigue. We all suffer when data, experts and advise are not taken into account in decision making, and are made to fit into the order top down.

"Be kind to yourself and hard on the system."
Burnout is clinically understood as a combo of 6 factors—work overload, lack of control, insufficient rewards, breakdown in community, absence of fairness, & value conflicts—and only a fraction of it is under your control. Burnout is a systemic problem, so be kind to yourself and hard on the system.
Hey gang I've had to learn recently that the whole "burning out" thing is real so if you find yourself being panicked every waking second that you're not working on something, despite those seconds being very rare, you should maybe listen to the signals and take an intentional break before you crash
All we can do is alarm: AI will not save us. AI has limitations. AI cannot replace us.
Three things in life are certain; death, taxes and ads
Yes! It’s always *not quite* there; plus many of these AI tools are being designed as people pleasers (lol), keeping us in echo chambers, potentially even exasperating delusions or bias we have about others. It is always better to do research in an intersectional team than a computer.
