This was my first pinned post here and one of the first posts I was kind of happy about. Right when I started actually using this place.

It is that the power exists at all, to speak on behalf of a god that does not exist. To impose a mythology on a Human Being without consent, teaching them that this mythology is reality.

That's what I am angry about.

The existence of this power is in itself an abuse.

The Trump admin just admitted — in a buried Labor Dept. filing — that its own immigration crackdown is hurting farmers and driving up food prices. The report warns the “near total cessation” of migrant labor is threatening “the stability of domestic food production.” F***ing DUH.

A 15 year old boy with autism went missing earlier this week

He was selling fruit with his family in Springbranch when he disappeared

They filed a missing person’s report & begged the public to help find him

Turns out he was in a Houston ICE detention facility

They kidnapped a disabled child!

To show fellow Americans that the vast majority of us reject this: we don’t want a dictatorship, or Christian nationalism, or techno-fascism; for everyone who is unaware of or doesn’t attend a protest, we show them they’re not alone—that millions stand with them, and that they can resist too.

which means that for so long as she's in Congress, she's in no danger of losing the things most endangered for the rest of her community.

Sarah McBride is trans. She's also as privileged as a trans person can possibly be in the US. She's mostly cis passing. She's white. She's binary. But most of all, she's wealthy and she has access to healthcare most trans people don't and security most trans people will never have,

I want her to say there are infinite genders on the floor of the House. I want her to invite racialized trans people to join her and tell their stories. I want her to challenge every rule they pass against her and I want her to break them on purpose.

What do I want from Sarah McBride?

I want her to fight for trans people. I want her to talk about what trans kids are going through every day. I want her to ask why a trans person has to be white and cis passing to get into Congress.

8. similar story to newsom, hochul gets points for pushing a gerrymander, but not so much elsewhere

there is a thing where governors are less likely to weigh in on court reform - but i think 'gets the supreme court is part of the fascist coup' is a minimum standard for *any* dem in today's world

3. somewhat surprisingly (to me at least), pritzker only got a passing score

he got points for his state's response, making overt comparisons to nazi germany, & being pro trans but he needs to more overtly call for court reform, ending ice, & arrests of admin officials to go up a grade
