Hey Belgium, Japan, Germany, Netherlands and everyone else - how’d you like to cut a deal to support some US labs working on mRNA vaccines to cure cancer? (Thanks to our inane fedgov) the labs need the funding and humanity could use a cure. Big risk, huge huge reward.

Such a smart take without the pearl clutching or the slavish sucking up that obscures much media criticism

A nice win for Bianca Andreescu in R1 Qualies in Wuhan. Whether by circumstance or design, I think qualies is the route to go. It gives her matches and chances to sharpen her game before the main draw. Also, the feel good confidence of winning is a boost. #TennisSky.

The White House press corp is derided as being mere stenographers. If only. The MSM reports on Trump’s speech to the generals waves off his utter incoherence as mere “rambling” without elaborating. Why not report what he actually said, as Heather Cox Richardson does? I mean, this is bonkers.

Glad to see more of you here, because frankly, BlueSky tennis is getting swamped by clickbait, IMO. Needs more people like you who care about the game.

A GOP-appointed federal judge tossed out Trump's lawsuit against the NYT: "“As every lawyer knows (or is presumed to know), a complaint is … not a protected platform to rage against an adversary."

Oh. My. God. Profoundly twisted framing from @nytimes.com The casual reader of this hed and subhed would have exactly zero inkling that this is likely corrupt or even illegal or unconstitutional. Euphemistic to the point of absurdity.

The hypocrisy from Trump's FCC Chair is staggering but unsurprising.

It should be clear by now that to MAGA, protecting freedom of speech was always secondary to wielding the power to punish anyone who questions this regime.

Extraordinarily corrupt. I watched FCC chair Brendan Carr's full interview on Hannity. Carr basically said straight out that coverage of Trump he deems overly hostile can be decreed contrary to the "public interest," and thus grounds for yanking licenses:

A grim reminder: these people will never be satisfied. There’s no point at which they will say “we’ve won, let’s enjoy life.” They will always be looking for someone else to punish, to revile, to dehumanize. They’re empty without that.
