I found a 19th century Cat Villain!

A huge chonk of a fluffy cat sitting on a table near an open fire. The cat is cream and grey and appears to be shaped like a barrel in a fur coat. They are scowling fiercely with their moustache and bewhiskered ears apparently flowing back into the cold wind. There's a definite vibe that this villainous cat twirls their moustache as they evict orphans into the aforementioned blizzard and think Scrooge was an easy-going lightweight. They are magnificent.

About a month ago, the Trump administration got rid of the de minimis exemption, whereby packages valued under $800 could slide in without import duties. Now there's a backlog as the government can't process all of this paperwork, leading to UPS just destroying packages

Because at the end of the day they're not *really* upset about the objective quality of P2P. They're not *really* upset about potential IP infringement. They're not *really* upset about the content being fashy or patriarchal or whatever the Discourse(TM) of the day is.

They're upset because fanfic authors were supposed to stay in their basements, on their laptops, and be ashamed of their accomplishments. A tradpub author who sold 500 copies of their 1k print run was higher on the totem pole than a fic author with 100k unique readers. That was the deal.
