As we know, science fiction and fantasy in Ireland doesn't just mean leprechauns and banshees. Ireland has a long tradition of writers of the fantastical and science fictional - from Sheridan Le Fanu and Lady Gregory to lan McDonald and Ruth Long - as well as a unique history which provides plentiful material for SFF writers. So how does the current Irish SFF scene represent Ireland today, and how can it be supported and promoted as it deserves?
