DT Cory Durden was fined $5,722 for his hit on Bills QB Josh Allen last week (blow to the head/neck), while DT Joshua Farmer was fined $5,591 for unnecessary roughness on RB James Cook (deemed to be a late hit).

After today's practice squad elevations I now have the Patriots salary cap space number as $54,463,627 - a $74,000 decrease

Have the Patriots with
52 active players
9 players on IR
17 practice squad members

Still projecting the Patriots to end the 2025 season with around $50M in cap space.

After today's (10/11) transactions I now have the Patriots cap space number as $54,463,627.

I have the Patriots with 52 active players on their roster. They also have nine players on Injured Reserve and seventeen players on their practice squad.

Am projecting the Patriots to end the 2025 regular season with around $50M in cap space after accounting for practice squad elevations, earned NLTBE active roster bonuses and replacing injured players

After his elevation Terrell Jennings will now make $53,333.33 for this week. He is making $13,000 weekly while on the Patriots practice squad. $53,333.33 is 1/18th of $960,000 - the minimum salary for a player like Truman Jones who has one credited season.

Reminder: it’s sun outage week. The sun will be directly behind geostationary satellites, which will cause some interference on Saturday.

This happens twice a year, and for our purposes, it usually happens during or around Red River.

The Patriots have elevated RB Terrell Jennings and OLB/DE Truman Jones from the practice squad for Sunday's game.

Three players already ruled out (Hawkins, Jennings, White).

Need just 3 more, and thus the opening is there for a potential Efton Chism III debut.

If I remember correctly, it seemed Vrabel ultimately got hamstrung by the GM who was handpicked by the owner or something. The titans demise had less to do with him, and more those around him.

IIRC, it was the GM and not Mike Vrable who traded away A.J. Brown. If it was Vrabel, he is a pretty good actor.

Do not expect as much turnover as we saw this year. Out of the 55 players on the active roster Week 1 in 2024 only 22 were on the Patriots active roster Week 1 against the Raiders. So a total of 33 new players. My guess is we will see somewhere between 20 and 25 new players Week 1 in 2026.

1. promote Jennings to the 53
2. elevate Tru Jones (or *maybe* Swinson)
3. elevate either Minor or Battle for DB depth (Woods is gimpy, too)
4. use someone like Hollins or Kyle Williams at KR just for this week

Tough one.

They definitely need another Edge guy for this week.
They also need an RB3, but do they really want to fill the 53rd spot with Jennings or Corbin from the PSQ?
Plus a kick-returner (an issue which may not be settled for a few weeks).
And then, how do they cover for Hawkins' absence?
