Yes, they want women to die and therefore they need artificial wombs to exist. How the fuck is that based?

I feel like there's just a segment of the population, trans or cis or otherwise, who will always insist that being happy is fundamentally a character flaw that implies you are insufficiently aware of/don't care enough about the world's problems

Phil Scott is not really a Republican and he has 0 incentive to play games with that seat. He'd put some lame duck old Dem in there, or Bernie's wife

Jared Leto may have a toxic reputation, he may have a wildly unappealing screen presence, but say what you will, he also can't open a movie either.

To replace the ancient establishment Independent senator, one would have to trust the Republican to not be a Republican, no?
peterc3k.bsky.social
The current Republican Party has shut down the government and is grabbing citizens off the street. This is Trump's second term. I do not trust Republicans, so why should I trust that someone currently remaining a registered Republican will act in my interests/the best interests of the country?

So they keep their head down, do nothing to fix the problem in their party, and all good?
peterc3k.bsky.social
Why is it not shameful to identify as a Republican in 2025?
peterc3k.bsky.social
Is Trump no big deal, we can all come together after that asshole is gone?
peterc3k.bsky.social
What's the value of the current Republican Party? Why defend what it is now?
peterc3k.bsky.social
He offsets how much, meaningfully, from the damage that Trump is doing? Honestly.

I’m sorry but this just isn’t true. Insurance companies work the way they do because of the system they’re embedded in and doctors (through professional organizations) are a big factor in lobbying to keep insurance because it helps keep their salaries and other fees high.

Good. Building solar farms in the desert is climate suicide
2,500 years old, while the humble creosote bush can live for over 10,000 years. These plants also sequester carbon in the form of glomalin, a protein secreted around the fungal threads connected to the plants' roots, thought to store a third of the world's soil carbon. "By digging these plants up," says Kobaly, "we are removing the most efficient carbon sequestration units on the planet - and releasing millennia of stored carbon back into the atmosphere. Meanwhile, the solar panels we are

I write about the lack of third spaces often. This habit of thinking that a single post must provide an exhaustive accounting of every factor leading to a multifaceted problem — and then attacking people if it doesn’t — is why people find this place exhausting.

Yes, it's definitely that and not the lack of third spaces. You are so smart

When Republicans are pre-butting a pro-democracy rally like No Kings and making shit up left and right to scare people, you know they're losing and in panic mode.

On an unrelated note, I think people who respond to clumsy and imperfect expressions of sympathy and support with withering contempt have something wrong with them.
"Don't try and be positive, just let me stew in my misery" okay, fuck everyone else for trying to show you compassion IG.
