I have been very much struck in the last month or two by how many content creators I know who cover entirely other fields — cooking, workouts, dogs, whatever — have started freely talking about progressive politics when they never, ever used to.
I don't think it's a coincidence that one of my favorite foodie YouTubers is wearing a Minnesota State Fair hoodie in the video she just posted 15 minutes ago.

One irony here: a shutdown won't shut down ICE or the Border Patrol, which got massive infusion of money last year in the GOP's 'One Big Beautiful Bill,' and the White House would surely deem these operations 'essential.'

make sure you're ready to vote in your primaries. triple-check your registration. if you plan on using a mail-in ballot, start thinking about where and how you'll get it delivered.
I get that it sounds corny, but please don't discount the fact that voting is in fact a means of harm reduction--one this administration is doing all it can to smother.
