RESULT: James Solomon will be the next mayor of Jersey City.

Solomon, running on a more progressive lane with WFP support, has easily defeated the establishment candidate Jim McGreevey, the former governor who resigned in scandal two decades ago.

I went to the NYT and this is in fact their lede and like, you know how bad things have to get for NYT of all pubs to call something “unapologetic bigotry”? Infinity alarm fire
NYT: “.. Even for Mr. Trump — who has a long history of insulting Black people, particularly those from African countries — his outburst was shocking in its unapologetic bigotry.”

Too bad Hakeem Jeffries declared an impeachment push for Hegseth of the table.

Too bad Democrats in Congress are useless.
Dems should hound Rs relentlessly: Will they exercise oversight on these extrajudicial killings in a serious way? Trump and Hegseth are laughing in Congress' faces. Will Rs really debase themselves to shield the likes of *Pete Hegseth* from scrutiny? Seriously? 4/4

Q: You talk about affordability. Are the American people getting impatient with the reforms you're making?

TRUMP: I think they're getting fake news from guys like you. Look, affordability is a hoax that was started by Democrats.

Now juxtapose Hegseth's vile little cartoon with this line from the Post report on the latest horror:

"If the video of the blast that killed the two survivors on Sept. 2 were made public, people would be horrified, said one person who watched the live feed."
Imagine being a career officer in the chain of command on Trump's boat bombings. You have deep moral and legal concerns about them. Your faith in leadership is shaky. Then you see Pete Hegseth tweet out a sadistic cartoon about it. Must be awful.

Thoughts on this:

And and you've trained them to 'buy' seeds by dropping cigarette butts into a slot? Yup.
And this idea emerged as an urban refuse solution? Yup.
Wow.

There was a tweet some years back that was like "Being a Democrat is like going to a concert where the band is telling everyone to calm down the whole time" and I think about it a lot
For some reason Democratic leaders seem to prefer telling voters what they won’t be able to do, rather than what they’d like to do.

If Hegseth ordered a war crime and lied about it, shouldn’t Ds try for impeachment? Put Rs on the spot. They might get a few defections.

Bad news for Hegseth, it turns out the Pentagon is a big bureaucracy filled with people who got there because they know how to fight bureaucratic battles and they will wait for you to lie about something then leak details about it. Who knew?
A most important question on the Sept. 2 double-tap strike is who had "target engagement authority" (TEA).

Wall Street Journal:

"A Defense Department official ... said Hegseth was the 'target engagement authority,' the key figure who authorized the strike."

In many ways this is the widest ban on trans healthcare yet. In some states Catholic Church-run healthcare systems are over 40% of all healthcare.

This ban also applies to the many doctors, urgent cares and specialists in the church's sprawling networks. And they're buying up/taking over more.
U.S. Catholic bishops recently banned trans care throughout the church's sprawling healthcare systems.

@davidforbes.bsky.social delves into how this fits the institution's long history of hatred and abuse, a direction that has not changed despite its recent p.r. shifts.

It’s important to note from a military perspective that if a subordinate is about to give an unlawful order & his senior knows about it, it’s also a requirement for the senior official to stop him from executing it. And then counsel/discipline him.

So there’s that, too.
