Re: Graham Linehan
I would be happy if I never heard the name Graham Linehan again, but I do feel the need to comment, because the nature of a lot of the abuse trans people receive is straight up sexual harassment, but is not recognized as such because the victim is trans.

What Glinner is doing is sexual harassment.
Just for a second, take a step back, and remember that these are the actions of a 56 year old man towards a 17 year old girl.

They've fucking cured HIV and we still have assholes like RFK telling us that vaccines don't work and the science behind them is junk.
in 2025, researchers reported a breakthrough that suggests that a “functional” cure for HIV — a way to keep HIV under control long-term without constant treatment — may indeed be possible.

Achieving lasting remission for HIV
People infected with HIV must take antiretroviral drugs for life. But promising trials using engineered antibodies suggest that ‘functional cures’ may be in reach.

When Charlie Kirk died, MAGA leaders promised it would unify the base, while rallying millions of previous skeptics to the fascist cause.

Neither has happened.

Even better, Kirk's death is causing MAGA infighting that is tearing at the seams.

This one really is useful because you won’t see a more clear demonstration of one of the most damaging political phenomena of the era: the reactionary professional mind rejecting unacceptable reality, only able to process and comprehend it via something close to conspiracy theory.
Former Obama speechwriter Sarah Hurwitz says Jewish students shouldn’t have smartphones until they finish high school — so they don’t see the “carnage” Israel and the U.S. have carried out in Gaza.

The recording session was almost two hours long, as well, but Jack will cut out the faff as he always does.
Just recorded a new IDSG News Ep with @danielharper.bsky.social on the apologia for Jeffrey Epstein's paedophilia, starting with Megyn Kelly and ending up at Michael Wolff's account of a 2017 meeting between Epstein, Steve Bannon, and others. This is really a good one, I think.

This one has been a long time coming. When we first started doing IDSG, I thought we'd do it in the first few months. Six years later....

Before it was "AI powered" (TM) it was a "Google summary," which effectively existed to steal the content of the thing you were actually looking for so that you'd stay within the Google ecosystem instead of landing on another site. It was about retention time.

It's capitalism all the way down.
AI in search engines is going to end that brief golden age at the dawn of smart phones where you could settle a stupid bar argument in seconds instead of going in circles for hours with an increasingly belligerent stranger (or worse, friend)
I gave up on telling family members this years ago. The single worst thing to happen to search engines and that’s saying something.

Tom Cotton is a graduate of Harvard Law School, and he's telling us it's proof that Trump's boat attack victims are drug traffickers if CNN doesn't interview their grieving relatives.
Cotton on Trump's boat strikes: "Use common sense. If any of these had been boats full of fisherman or refugees, CNN would've already been on the ground & interviewed all their families & told their stories. We can be confident all of these strikes have been against cartel-based drug traffickers."

Speaking as a veteran, I never expected such a message from Congress to be necessary in my lifetime.

We want to speak directly to members of the Military and the Intelligence Community.
