It’s darkly funny that these 7 Dems didn’t vote because they are the only 7 Dems who support ICE, but because Dems set up a rotating cast of fall guys to get bills passed. The Senate was supposed to take the heat off of them. The Pretti shooting left them holding the bag and now they’re scrambling.
A few days ago, Rep. Laura Gillen was one of 7 House Democrats who voted with Republicans to fund DHS without the policy changes most Dems wanted. Now she’s calling for impeaching Kristi Noem. Politics are rapidly shifting here.
