Gran Turismo 2 already had a number of weird and slightly rubbish cars. I can't wait to be throwing a Marea Weekend around Trial Mountain.

I’ll post pretty much any Cadillac race car but this one is quite special to me even if it didn’t do much on the world stage

I went down so many wrong turns before remembering there was a second generation of that car that didn't make it to the UK on the last try.

This past week has been a busy and quite stressful mess for a number of reasons, but one thing that did 'merit' a smile was spotting this exceptionally clean Astra F. Shame about the pound land wheel trims.

There was (probably still is) a very complete one in the notorious New Zealand Horopito wreckers yard. Not sure why I didn't grab a better photo.

The only reason that I know I've seen at least one twilight movie is that I recall finding the choice of a Volvo very odd for a vampire. Otherwise totally forgettable.

Like this one I spotted at a wreckers yard in Perth in 2015. Looked almost immaculate, so hopefully it didn't stay there.

What is the most unexpectedly dismal car you've owned, with no particular fault you can put your finger on?
Just a car that by all logical reason is totally fine but just can't help being miserable?
Mine is this Honda Orthia, small with a 2.0 should have been decent, was somehow just so very dull.

Actually I've been a fool, the answer is clearly this:

I always loved this livery on the Lister Storm and I don't think it's oil based.

This was quickly followed by a Triumph Spitfire and a Peugeot 405 outside the butchers. These people have my utmost respect dailying their classics as the weather turns iffy.

Yesterday I spotted one of life's absolute winners in Morrisons carpark. This must be great fun to thread between the autumn puddles. Not through though. Never through.

All hail the mighty gooch seat with easy sliding door access.

The Spacia is now officially an 8 seater again! Unfortunately the folding seat had been pushed up against something narrow while in storage in the previous owners shed - so it has developed a noticeable dent. It has now been designated the “gooch seat” until it sorts itself…
Toyota Spacia interior showing 8th seat that folds for access to the rear bench. It has developed an unfortunate crease in the middle that looks like a bum. Zoomed out shot of Spacia interior showing newly reinstalled seat.

Venturi (originally founded as MVS: Manufacture de Voitures de Sport) tried hard to establish itself as a French luxury GT maker. This English-language brochure from the early '90s features the mid-engined 210hp and 260hp models, including a Spider version. #weirdcarbs

That is an extremely distinctive car and the first picture gives away it's most notable features.
I also only struggled slightly with the date.

reminds me of the sticker that was on Toyota MR2s that read:

Elon Musk openly called for violence on our streets yesterday.

I hope politicians from all parties come together to condemn his deeply dangerous and irresponsible rhetoric.

Britain must stand united against this clear attempt to undermine our democracy.

Does anyone else panic buy a cheap car just before their dailys MOT? Not sure what I expect the trusty Audi A4 that I found in some undergrowth a year ago to fail on, but I'm now also the proud owner of a Daewoo Nubira...
