Im not certain if vtm bl2 would have ever been considered a good game or good sequel no matter who wrote it, who made it, whatever. It could have had clean flawless combat and it would have been called bad, it would have had perfect storytelling and it likely would have been not good enough

I dunno man, i get that games that are sequels can never stand alone in comparison to their predecessors, but to compare vtmbl2 to vtmbl1 with are the most rose tinted glasses of all time just aint it. Its a half life 3 problem all over again. Its been 20 years.

Same character or even same section of the universe?

Is it following the spirit of the predecessor? Because then arguably, vtmbl2 is a truer sequel than many games being, apparently, a janky, weirdly written game with poor combat. Just like vtm bl1.

Also its kinda weird to say its not a true sequel when its doing a thing that many sequel games have done before. Like... What makes a game a sequel.

Is outer worlds 2 a true sequel because it shares similar mechanics despite not following the

Nothing but vitrol, with no real points of comparison. I cant see gameplay while they write, or hear snippets of voice acting while they praise or lambast voice acting. Its *just* "this game is the worst" or "this game is great" coupled with "take my word for it"

Ive come to the conclusion that i just hate and dont trust written reviews of games. I prefer video reviews that try to be as unbiased as possible, something that is easier to gauge when you can hear someone talk.

Ive just found too often that in written reviews itll be nothing but praise or

I often wonder if people actually read outloud what they write on social media and youtube comments and the like cuz like ... I know ive thought about being loud about not liking someones opinion before, and i type it out. And i read it. And i go "why the fuck am i saying something it doesnt matter"

if a stranger asks to borrow something, and it would not ruin you to replace it, i think you should always let them

in my experience, they almost always return it. you made their day at zero cost

but if they don’t bring it back, they needed it more than you, and you helped
