Like I had essays of "I did NO READING" and guess what I got the disappointment feedback, and essays of "everything went wrong with writing this but the tutor could see the effort I had put in"

There's a definite difference that gets lost in retelling between "lol I was SO EPICALLY STONED and wrote this in ONE HOUR and got A FIRST" and "was able to make something cohesive and solid out of a crisis situation through stressful work"

Their opinion is their opinion, whatever, but they’re re-writing history here. TRON was Disney’s highest-grossing live action film in 5 years, a decent hit that made a lot from merchandise and arcades. Home video was also very successful for TRON, and Legacy didn’t flop, it made $400 million.

Pretty confused by how TRON became a big-budget movie franchise. Was it a bit hit when it came out? No. Did it become a big hit on video/TV? Also no. Do people have fond nostalgic memories of it? Eh kinda but not really. Was it secretly great and critically acclaimed? No again

The boat ones seem to be existing, the one true gun one from what I've experienced might as well not have the anthropomorphic element at all but the horse one commits entirely to the idea that horses are deeply unserious animals

Thinking about how in a survival of the fittest situation we have gone from a vast selection of anime about a large number of things represented as girls to only a few strong survivors of which one, the horse one, still keeps closest to the idea

What I find so strange about middle aged people now is that many are completely unable to process that things they liked as kids were made for kids. They don’t have to magical think them into being “good” by adult standards. They did their job admirably, let them rest.
