Any police agency depends on esprit de corps—they have to support each other—, so it's important to make sure the bad apples don't get in and get removed as soon as possible. We don't have good mechanisms to do this and people who set up the agencies often want them to be brutal.

When one party is attempting to radically overturn precedent and the lower courts affirm that precedent maybe just maintain the status quo and hold off overturning the lower courts until you've heard the arguments? Trump isn't "irreparably harmed" by delaying his radicalism by a few months.
