don't think i've plugged #gomiasto in a while, not on here anyway. it's A FUN GAME where you have to guess a place based on distance and direction. there's a uk version, as well as usa, and manchester metrolink, which is far too difficult to be fun. rlychrisg.github.io/GoMiasto/
a screen shot of go miasto a game i made. it's a silhouette of the uk with a few map markers dotted around the west midlands, with a table of guesses underneath which are (in chronological order) leeds, 60 miles with an arrow pointing south west, bristol, 108 miles north, birmingham 38 miles north, chester 32 miles south east and coventry 50 miles north west. the answer is still unknown.

something quite brain-melting about the hard right's position apparently now being "we hate all Muslims and distrust Muslim states, aside from that one Muslim place that still has slavery because that sounds fun"

thinking i might even try to have a walk to the shops later. ideally the full aldi but might just be B&M. and macdonalds on the way back for a treat because i managed something.

it'll be a bit of a a milestone if so. haven't walked more than 100m since very early september.

i nailed the compression bandages today. i'm zooming around like some sort of healthy person. i think this is the difference between a bad day and a good day. there's definitely an art to this.

i don't mean to lessen polanksi's effort though, which is quite fucking considerable, let's be honest. he's everywhere at the moment.

two great former leaders are now MPs and there are a few people i hope to see in parliament in 2029. way things are going i suspect i just might.

said it before but the greens are full of people like zack polanski. he isn't the first principled spokes person who is an excellent communicators and he won't be the last. the only reason he's winning so many people over is because the greens' platform is getting too big to ignore.

Just thinking about Come Fly With Me. A show worse than Curry and Chips or Love Thy Neighbour because it was made in an era of awareness. Imagine being even worse, the mind fucking boggles. Two blokes still working in telly.

they're adding stuff that isn't in openbox. it's great. like toggle workspaces. that will be so handy. the only window manager i've ever been able to do that on is awesome, and river, which is still a WIP. imagine being able to toggle workspaces! IMAGINE!

there's a new version of labwc with a bunch of features but also a thumbnail preview for the window switcher (which will be handy across multiple desktops) and it isn't in the arch repos yet and i'm excited. pathetically so.

“producers asked if he’d like to do a “thumbs-up, thumbs-down” segment. Prompts included “Thumbs-up or thumbs-down: Hamas” and “Thumbs-up or thumbs-down: a Palestinian state,””

“I just couldn’t believe what was happening, That a genocide could be distilled into a late-night game.”

He and his team passed on playing “Thumbs-up or thumbs-down: a Palestinian state.”

1/ "I was completely unaware of any statements that Nathan Gill made" says "stunned" Nigel Farage, who trotted out exactly the same Putin-friendly talking points as Nathan Gill.

Weird how many of Farage's close associates turn out to be deeply corrupt. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

People surprised that some formerly sensible left-leaning or liberal women are now apparently full of admiration for white supremacists, rapists and genocide might note that their entry point for far right radicalisation was invariably a belief that transphobia is ‘feminist’. Just saying.

when i had to pair the wristband with the tablet for the virtual ward (every bastard morning) i had to enter my weight, size, and skin tone, which the nurse set to 2, but as i've got better i think i could probably pass for a 3 now.

I wrote an article in January about where we have ended up in English law re. "deception as to sex", and what that means for trans people. I think it's likely we can expect to see more of these sorts of cases going forward.

“Concerns over an AI bubble bursting have grown lately, with analysts recently finding that it’s 17 times the size of the dotcom-era bubble and four times bigger than the 2008 financial crisis.”

Fascism demands to be taken seriously and to be feared. That makes mockery a powerful tool. Is it how you "beat" fascism? I wouldn't go that far. But inflatable Reptar has surely poked a clearer hole in the story the White House is telling that the Democratic Party's multimillion dollar comms shops.

This video is everywhere because it's a hilarious visual refutation of Portland being on fire. You can't get a mass movement going without convincing the masses

so yes, this does do something actually

This literally does nothing. You are not beating fascism by dressing up in inflatable suits and dancing

Portland is leading the way. This is how you (non violently) beat Fascism. Humor and ridicule are key.

i have been thinking about growing up and how i was friends with other kids whose parents were immigrants. it was always fun going to their house and seeing the vastly different background, but we all had the same gas fire.

and that, friends, is why i'm not a racist.

i'm trying to be funny, but..

i think my living room has a lot more in common with the people running the take aways than nigel farage's living room. no framed photos of thatcher (best case scenario).
