The Republican Party is against special ed because they are the party of eugenics.

If you have a kid with an IEP, they don't think your kid deserves help. And it's only a matter of time before the come out and say that you shouldn't be allowed to reproduce.

Due to Tennessee’s abortion ban, Mayron Hollis was forced to continue a pregnancy that threatened her life. An emergency delivery left her without a uterus and her baby with medical issues.

I'd always taken her as a "for sale" republican. She's not. She listens to her idiot constitutents. (Comparative) respect, I guess.

I'm revising my opinion of MTG. I don't think she's a lunatic anymore. I think she's an under-educated and not especially bright Republican who tries to represent the interests of her area, but is more influenced by her working class contingent than her wealthy suburban contingent of voters.

A spokesperson for the OMB confirmed to NBC News that it plans to use the research and development funds and that there are two years' worth of funds available within the Department of Defense.

The best "defense" of SCOTUS' hypocrisy is that there's an asymmetry between how Democrats and Republicans wield executive power. Broadly—Dems want to give things (health care, asylum, foreign aid, loan relief, civil rights) while Republicans want to take things away. SCOTUS makes the latter easier.

Yesterday I was told that the class I’m scheduled to teach this month, Confronting Oppression & Injustice, is no longer part of our curriculum. This is a required class yet there was no discussion, no faculty vote, just an email saying the class no longer exists. This is what it’s like in Texas now.
