At age 50, I had never seen THE SHINING until tonight. A very good, visually fascinating film, but a terrible adaptation of an awfully good novel, and I can see why King did not like that version at all.

More here (gift link). As a longtime member, I hope some of this helps, as it is a beautiful, important institution in this city and a wonderful place to visit. Just not sure displaying art by Sylvester Stallone is the way to go. The Roots as artist-in-residence? Sure!
