Unbelievably, it's Main Character Syndrome as Political Ideology.

Ah yes, I've dreamt of such a podcast. I call it "A Little Dab Will Do Ya"

Colbert and Stewart both couldn't disappear into a deep bog fast enough for me.

It's a good podcast. *I* listen to it sometimes!

If you're interested in Columbo, I've finished posting the Tumblr notes from our old podcast, Just One More Thing, covering the first two TV movies and the first season -- Prescription: Murder through Blueprint for Murder. That's a lot of murder! There are also links to the relevant podcast episodes

Yeah, that's genuine stand-up comedian levels of credulity.

What's so great about the "It's a myth! A myth!" -- "Yeth?" joke is that it means she not only speaks with a lisp, but she also *hears* with a lisp.

Just watched The Muppet Movie for the first time since I was a kid, I'd been nursing a crush on "The Yeth Girl" since I was eight and only just learned that it was Carol Kane, which lines up. Telling my grandkids this is Kate Bush:

I lived in New York as a kid so the '76-'79 Yankees remain my favorite era of any team but, man, is it good to see the Yanks lose.

No slight intended at all for Lord of the Rings, Dune, et al, but if the fantasy world I've always most wanted to see explored in epic cinematic detail is Barsoom.

You know what this is? Well this is what's up.
Cover to the John Carter Warlord of Mars board game, a bronzed Carter bares his sword against unseen menace while, presumably, Dejah Thoris clings to him because an incredibly insane looking Baanth is giving her kind of a horny look, it's unfortunate.

I am glad my children don't share my affinity for secrecy and magic, even though I think the world is, in the final analysis, a secret place that can only be understood through magic. (29 Oct 1994)

The only logical endgame is that Alfred ends up having formerly been a bat-themed superhero himself and then it starts becoming Batmans all the way down.

Lookit this, this is how Alfred Pennyworth used to walk around. Now he's got a body count and knows Krav Maga.
The original Alfred Pennyworth, a fat idiot.

The only thing I've really enjoyed about Batman's relentless media omnipresence over the last forty years is his butler being repeatedly retconned into an increasingly stone cold professional killer. Another decade or two and Alfred Pennyworth will be wanted by the ICC for war crimes.

Huh, wonder why that guy's got no friends.

Walt Disney himself said that this was, and I'm quoting here, "essential to understanding the duality of the man-slash-goof"

This is a good opportunity to mention again that Goofy is a werewolf. He's a cartoon werewolf, and I know what you're gonna say. You're gonna say, "Then how come he never turns into a *man*, Jon? Huh?" Because then he'd be a cartoon man, and he's not a cartoon man, he's a cartoon werewolf, smart guy

Today I’m thinking about the flat faced werewolves like Wolf Man and Oz from Buffy… and also the snout men werewolves like from Van Helsing and Dog Soldiers.

I think if I was a werewolf, I’d be ragin if I was one of them flat faced ones.
