A while back I got into designing stickers, had a bunch made, and now all these years later I am in possession of a box full of stickers I don't know what else to do with except either later this week I might bundle them and sell 'em cheap or, failing that, throw them in the river.

Far be it for me to relitigate a post that's already begun to decay but, in regards to an American identity founded on "Irish-Scott[sic]-English" culture, please allow me to add that one of these things is not like the others, one of these things doesn't belong...

Kinda neat: "Almost Got 'Im" is broadly considered among the best episodes of Batman: The Animated Series. I've seen so much conversation around this episode and yet have never seen anyone mention that it seems to borrow the beats of a Spirit strip from November 25, 1951, scripted by Jules Feiffer.

The hot new character find of 1956, Richard Nixon, the Boy Wonder of Whittier, CA. This campaign material for functional illiterates only dedicates a single page to Nixon's origins, but at least it's entertainingly written in a manner devoid of articles that makes it sound like Rorschach's Diary.

Designed this character 10+ years ago for a "30 Characters in 30 Days" challenge, just revisited it last night. The original idea was that, since this clown-themed superhero was called Big Top, his outfit would resemble a circus tent, but decided to try drawing him with a very big top half instead

Weird ass villain alert from Police Comics* #18, April 1943, in a story illustrated by Frank Borth, which pits Phantom Lady Sandra Knight against ... THE BUNNY RABBIT, an unreformed crook who attempts to assassinate Sandra's senator father with egg bombs during an Easter egg hunt.

Not that I'm going to do this all day but if I'm someone's introduction to Nass el Ghiwane then it's worth it. Here's a dang banger that ain't in English:

Had a rough weekend that left me in a really bad place and yet for some reason what I decided to watch to try and lift my spirits was the Christopher Reeve documentary on HBO.

My congressional rep spoke at a local Dems event last night about her recent trip to an ICE detention facility where she shared stories of frightful abuse and even (and she really stressed this) sexual assault, then immediately pivoted to "ICE does necessary work" and lamenting the "few bad apples."
