Fucking love Daredevil's rogues gallery. One of these guys is his tailor.

Knew a young woman who hated the Beatles, which is fine as far as I'm concerned, but her complaint was always that they were "overrated" and this would drive me nuts. Don't like 'em, fine, but there's no band more appropriately-rated than the Beatles. They're rated exactly right. Spot-on rating.
Oh please. It was cool to hate the Beatles for about six seconds in 1977. Glen Matlock - Beatles fan - is mostly the reason the Sex Pistols hung together. Lydon & Strummer are Lennon fans. Bowie & Iggy adore the Beatles. Hating the Beatles has never caught on anywhere, among anybody.
As someone who is this guy's age I can tell you 100% that if you were into Pixies, Nirvana, 120 Minutes stuff, etc. but didn't like the Beatles you had to have worked hard to contort yourself into that special little box. Your enemy, if you absolutely needed one, was hair metal. GTFO here with this.

The job of a politician - who may or may not himself be despicable - is to deal with despicable people & get all he can from them. Mamdani has passed the first test.

Say, @nancycomics.bsky.social -- This November 20, 1955, Gordo strip by Gus Arriola includes a sneaky Nancy cameo. Can you help me pinpoint the date on which Sluggo's iconic "Break it up, break it up" strip first appeared?

Still struggling to get the Gordo blog to show up on search engines. Changed the robots.txt and requested a re-crawl through Google back on Monday and still not seeing any sign of it. If you have a moment, could you search online for "Gordo Gus Arriola" and tell me if gordoymas.blogspot.com pops up?

I've had this song stuck in my head for the last two days although, in a way, this has been the soundtrack to my whole-ass life.

Noticed that the Gordo Y Más blog wasn't showing up on search engines despite having the proper settings in Blogspot, so I've just written my first custom robots.txt file since ... 2009? Flashback to the days of coding HTML/CSS in Notepad.

As far as I'm aware, no superhero has a rogues gallery quite as consistently *bald* as Superman's ferocious flock of follicly-challenged foes. Dozens of chrome-domed criminals have made Superman the ire of their depilated deviousness over the decades, so let's meet SUPERMAN'S BALDEST FOES!

Tryna be a Responsible Boy and Do The Things What Need Doing today but also I would very much like to spend the next hour writing about Superman's baldest villains.

I'm super pleased that we're already 75% funded in the first week of the DREAMHOUSE Kickstarter campaign! I would love to cross that $12K goal so we can start working on a stretch goal or two!

Fascinating focus on essential cartooning skills, here, great analysis and assortment of examples. Check it out!
The exhibit I co-curated at The Billy Ireland, Motion Lines: How Cartoonsts draw Movement, closed this past weekend... but if you missed it there's now this great online version--one of the very few they've done this for!

A thing that I don't think exists in the world but should is a crossover between Peter Davison's incarnation of Doctor Who and P.G.Wodehouse's Jeeves & Wooster titled "Dreadful Bother of the Cybermen -or- What Ho, Dalek!"

Hey all, Dalton Webb's wife Darcy just posted a couple links to Facebook, chief of which is an online memorial book to which everyone is invited to contribute. There's also a memorial service this Saturday, but I first need to confirm that it's open to all.

Memorial Book here:
