On one hand, you could say there's an ethical trade-off if it is fake interactions that stem from this and on the other you realize they've probably trained on the porn sites and now everyone's likeness is thrown into the grinder.

Farmers grow what they grow because of farm policy.

We don’t need all the soy and corn that we grow, but those are the commodities that receive subsidies and markets.

We’re at a place where 3rd/4th gen children of settlers, given land cleared from Indian presence after fighting them off, are crying about immigrants taking resources from them. Eradicating their culture by having an Asian grocery store and hearing Spanish music at the park.

Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing?

I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up.
Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?
