Have you heard the Ladybird audiobook of The Hound of the Baskervilles? It's a shortened 24 page book that leaves out some of the juicy mystery parts, but it has an ominous atmosphere and has Night on Bald Mountain of all tunes as background music.

I've always been on the fence with full-cast-audiobooks, I don't dislike the idea, I just prefer the "one person's idea of how characters sound in their head" approach, but I'll give anything Bernard Cribbins puts his voice to a go.

I think there is a way to discuss autistic trauma and our systemic abuse, through fiction or non-fiction, but there has to be a thread of hope, even if the only hope is that the story exists.

She's honestly one of the reasons why, accepting that she's around 20 years older than when the movies came out, and that it's purely voice-over based, the casting for the full-cast audiobooks screams "12-year-old's boring uninspired fancast!"

Timothy Spall has lost a lot of weight since Sweeney Todd, sometime around the mid-2010s, but even then, he's one of those chameleonic actors who can pull off some very nuanced performances, that I could see him being just as scary as the animated version.
