Bubsy is a game that hates you, wants you to be miserable, and asks what if you stared in a Saturday Morning Cartoon all at once
Heavy use of the Switch's rewind feature was used, because oh boy! This is a game for video essays on game design

Gameplaywise, it want's to be a speed game, but is too zoomed in, not giving you a good enough read on the screen and what's coming up or where to go.

The screen is also way too populated. There's too much shit flying at you all at once, touching the slightest pixel of enemies kills you, and your hitbox is huge.

The levels are excessively huge.

Bosses feel like being lucky with the RNG so you can get the few hits in that's needed before the screen is crowded with shit, or you get stuck in a corner and die.

On the plus side, the spritework for Bubsy is really good and expressive.

Also Japanese boxart Bubsy is so much cuter.
