Folks, this is NOT how a #tripartite #Constitutional #government works. This is how a conman runs a shell game. The founders aren’t rolling over in their graves, they’re having nervous breakdowns and epileptic seizures. #unAmerican #DemocracyDiesThisWay #wtf

If your politicians in #Memphis didn't come out to the #NoKings protest today, maybe you should ask them why.

I was there. Why weren't they?

This isn’t funny. Judges only speak to the press when they’re in extreme distress
More judges speak to the press (the NYT) about what a disaster the Supreme Court (specifically the shadow docket) has been - “incredibly demoralizing & troubling”; a “judicial crisis”; a “slap in the face to district courts.” www.nytimes.com/2025/10/11/u...

Reminder that this baseless indictment of New York Attorney General Letitia James is part of Donald Trump’s corrupt weaponization of the criminal justice system against anyone who has sought to hold him accountable.

We aren't on the verge of an authoritarian takeover. We are in the middle of it.

But I worry people don't see the whole scheme. They just pay attention to each new daily outrage. So I went to the Senate floor to explain Trump's plan.

Here's a 🧵of the speech. It's important.

(🧵) A key irony in what is now happening in Portland, Chicago, Los Angeles, Memphis, and D.C. is something I have not heard much discussed: in order to meet the high legal standard for deployment of federal troops, Trump must not only argue but establish by evidence that his agents are... incapable.

I’m glad to see this being said, but now is the time to put them into action, Governor.

Show the people what action needs to be taken and take the actions people cannot take.

Send your national guard to protect protestors. Go stand in front of the facility with the priest who got shot by ICE.
We must all stand up and speak out.

Americans are being far too complacent about masked government agents in unmarked vehicles grabbing people and taking them to unknown destinations.
(shared with permission) ICE/CBP has been active on Chicago's northwest side this morning—and also met with rapid responders.

Agents reportedly abducted one man from this Dunkin at Belmont and Milwaukee around 9:30am before speeding off.

Across Chicagoland today, more kidnappings continue. Immigration agents have taken people from Waukegan, Elgin, Glendale Heights, potentially some other suburbs. In the city proper, feds just snatched someone near Peterson and Pulaski—and earlier today, they grabbed someone from Little Village.

Got a recent Pulitzer for warning on the spread of autocracy around the globe, after decades of service to the paper? You can bet your butt you're getting laid off by form email, on Yom Kippur
The Post laid off seemingly the remaining of their liberal-leaning staff members on Opinion last Thursday, when some of them were observing Yom Kippur.

Those influencing Trump education policy aren't shy about wanting to eradicate public schools.

Asked what % of kids she imagines should be in public schools, Tiffany Justice -- Moms for Liberty cofounder, now with Heritage Foundation -- told @propublica.org

“I hope zero. I hope to get to zero.”
These Activists Want to Dismantle Public Schools. Now They Run the Education Department.
Under Trump, the Department of Education has been bringing in activists hostile to public schools. It could mean a new era of private and religious schools boosted by tax dollars — and the end of publ...
