The Tron franchise is very weird to me because no one who's owned it since 1982 even seems to be aware of what that movie was about.

Tron is a genuine Cyberpunk film. Flynn is a cyberpunk! He's going to hack into a gigacorp and bring it down from, literally, the inside. The inside of the computer!

Again today, local police outside Broadview just aggressively arrested more protesters. Tough to tell exactly how many, but looks like 3-4 people were just detained.

I think we really should stop using antifa and just fully say anti-fascist and get them saying they are against anti fascism. Using antifa is giving them some distance and I genuinely think some of their base don’t even know that’s what it stands for.

No! And I like trailers but this was a movie for preschoolers AND some of the trailers were too scary/intense for a movie that we specifically picked for a gentle first movie theater experience (I can get over that part, but the sheer volume of them almost made the kids leave)

Listen I know I’m old but THIRTY minutes of ads (nine trailers!!) in front of a kids movie is way too much - and that included THREE different ads for the movie theater we were currently in.

Kids were dancing at Citywalk in front of a DJ with a jumbotron desperately trying to get the camera to focus on them and when it finally did my 6yo was dancing her ass off but my 4yo was just staring blankly into space picking her nose & honestly it was pretty great

The amount of grief, information overload and unease we are all experiencing in cycle after cycle is affecting us all in different ways.

Fascism is incredibly cognitively invasive and manifests in waves through our lives.

We must learn to treat ourselves with grace as the noise increases.

Writing something about ICE and sweet Jesus it is so incredibly dark what they are doing to these cities. We have all seen the videos, but when you wade into the details of their actions, it is extraordinarily bleak.

I feel like this theory also explains why the “Trump is weird” approach that Walz hit on last year was so effective and why everything fell apart once the consultants got involved and told him to act normal.
