The Seattle Mariners have never been to a World Series.

The Padres signed Taiwanese RHP Lan-Hong Su for $775,000.

The 6-foot-2 hurler showed a four-pitch mix at the 18U Baseball World Cup: fastball (averaged 92.1 mph), curveball (78.5), slider (80.4) and changeup (83.5). He struck out 14 across five appearances in that tournament.
