Last night I finished @emilystjams.bsky.social's WOODWORKING, and I loved it! The kind of novel where when you're done reading, you miss your new fictional friends. I've enjoyed Emily's criticism for years, and it's no surprise that her fiction is so compelling. You gotta read this book!

Another reason to mask at protests, aside from COVID safety and protection from doxxing, is that a lot of responsible documenters don't want to publish protesters' faces (esp without their consent) right now. Your face being in a shot may prevent people from sharing a worthwhile image publicly.

A lot going on today so I'll sneak this Poetry MFA-Haver opinion in: iambic tetrameter (TMNT) and trochaic trimeter (girlfriend in a coma) are very common in the wild. You don't always have to point it out. Sometimes it's just six or eight syllables.
