The Chicago situation is racially fraught and deeply distressing; Portland is goofy white people taking the piss out of the regime. I understand why one's getting attention while the other isn't but yeah, it's not great in any direction at the moment.

This deserved a better adaptation than it got. Honestly they could remake it on the cheap using POV interviews intercut with action/recollection. The audiobook is great.
