Very interesting. We're into multi-party territory here where the First Past The Post system has completely broken down. Rhe only sensible and fair way forward is with Proportional Representation (one of the systems already in use). That would also alter the way many people votes.

Danny Kruger, "In 2016 people voted for Brexit, in 2019 with Boris Johnson, people voted for change but they got chaos"

Labour had 14 years to make sure that when they eventually got in, they would make a positive difference.

Well look how that turned out. Fuck sake.

More of this.
Former British Prime Minister Theresa May laid into her own political party last night, accusing it of taking a populist tilt to the right that risks emboldening Nigel Farage.
Theresa May accuses Tories of ‘chasing votes’ from Farage’s Reform
Former British PM says Tory pledges to roll back climate reforms are an “extreme and unnecessary measure.”

"The Reform leader has worked an estimated 199 hours and raked in a staggering £154,775 from the video-sharing app since last year's election."

Sadly, Clacton voters who need help would be better off buying their MP's time on Cameo.

Nigel Farage has spent a staggering 25 working days recording Cameo videos since the election
'Guess we now know why Farage seems to make only cameo appearances in Parliament and Clacton'

So companies that commission advertising think that their brand values are better represented by non-white people?

Not sure what you think should be done about that
Haha you're hilarious. Assuming that is IQ (some labels would have been nice)...
1. Studies largely agree that IQ tests have cultural bias
2. If you GENUINELY think that 90% of FTSE 100 CEOs being men is due to meritocracy, I have some very expensive magic beans....

"For the government it’s quite mad to keep using X. It’s active participation in its own destruction and against its own interests. I cannot fathom the logic of doing it. It would be like a Reform government communicating entirely through the Guardian comments section." 👏 @samfr.bsky.social

Leaving the ECHR would hand Putin a huge victory in his war against human rights and international law.

Those who advocate doing so are colluding with an enemy of our country.

They are traitors.

You're gonna be absolutely fuming at this:

90% of CEOs in FTSE 100 companies were men, and 96% were white. Further details from this analysis include:
At the time of the report, all nine of the female FTSE 100 leaders were white, meaning no women of color held a CEO position.

Farage's income from his 12 other jobs is more than twice the amount of the next highest earners, Rishi Sunak and Sir Geoffrey Cox

I don't know how many times it needs saying:

The EU doesn't do *anything* to punish the UK.

It simply treats us as the 3rd country we demanded to become.

This exceptionalist attitude is the principal barrier, not to us eventially rejoining, but to us ever genuinely being European in spirit.
Text book example of how misinformation is directed against European unity.

The overall goal is to put the consequences of Brexit on Europe, engender bad feeling, and cripple any join efforts.

To compare, I received a quote this morning for an address I use in The Netherlands:

£ ‎0.0347/kWh gas
£‎ 0.1003/kWh elec

on a 3-year fixed contract.

Just to show how extremely silly the energy prices are in the UK. Someone, somewhere, must be making a killing...
