We are getting reports of cough and sore throat on Vancouver Island, indicating the COVID XFG Stratus variant. Also showed an early uptick on cough radar. Previous infections recently in the US and here did not show this. Now up in Gibsons, much more in Dallas, they start school Aug 12th

Good morning—I've noticed more reckless driving on the Sunshine Coast highway, even being pushed off the road on my bike. Each COVID infection causes lasting cognitive harm, compounding with reinfections. Has CBC implemented ASHRAE 241 ventilation to help reduce this risk?

There's a direct conflict between the need to reduce ventilation to keep wildfire smoke out of indoor spaces and the need to increase ventilation for virus control, particularly in evacuation centers and shared buildings. To resolve this, evacuation centers should create "cleaner air shelters".
