This is what I was thinking as I read what you put. Even assuming everyone in that bracket joined when they were 17, the wait lists for most GIC's is already over 8 years

Without more resources they would simply age out of that bracket before they ever have an appointment, back to where we are now

This annoyed me so much. She used exact figures for every other number, in terms of kids referred, seeing an endo, etc, but for this 1 data point she just uses <10.

Given the average number of appointments this group had ended in .5 we know it's even, but it could literally be 2 kids (8 at most).

It wasn't Cass but it was referenced by Cass as a negative against PB's. Can remember reading Cass and seeing the names come up.

I can't remember the name but there was one from 2-3 years ago that got newspaper headlines in the UK for concluding that PB's didn't improve MH of trans youth. But when you actually looked at it's methodology they got to that by basically dismissing from the study any kids that already had bad MH.

Or more often than not revert to 'research' that they have never read and that has countless holes and problems in it's methodology, but still try to pass it off as more legitimate than the decades of research that disproves it.

And then you compare this to the tragic stories from the UK this week of Leia and your own reporting on Olive and it leaves me equal parts heartbroken and furious

It's so easy for trans kids to have normal, productive, healthy lives. Yet our Gov would rather they suffer for political points scoring

My child was a patient there also and the ICB have put us through hell in the last few months. They released a public statement at the exact moment they knew we were being told about the investigation, stating that our children would be having their medication "safely withdrawn"....
