history is unambiguous on how people protecting their neighbors are viewed by posterity versus those who show up in masks to forcibly abduct them.

i hope my country has a lot more people like this resident than the alternative, and the fact that i have to hope that fills me with shame.

During a military-style raid on a building in Chicago’s South Shore, one resident heard a knock on his door. 

It wasn’t the feds —  it was a mom and her 7-year-old daughter, pleading for help.

He let them hide in his unit for the next 3 days.

Sam Altman is laying the groundwork for OpenAI to be declared too big to fail by the U.S. government. At this point the stock price of AMD, Nvidia and Oracle all have OpenAI growing revenue 20x by 2030 baked in.

It’s not a systemic risk but it isn’t nothing either
