A lot of the blame here falls on the Democratic Party, which is (to use a technical term) mad up of pathetic lily-livered cowards who tremble uncontrollably in fear at the idea of any kind of public confrontation with the Trump administration on any issue beyond a self-selected Dull Policy Dispute.

peter strauss was miscast in "peter gunn" but blake edwards attempt at a reboot (before the term was popular) was pretty enjoyable anyway (and i don't think strauss is actually bad here, just kinda wrong for the part), so i'd definitely give that another look.
