Exactly what I was listening to! It’s becoming a thing on R4. Whispercasting. So frustrating. It’s not an ASMR podcast!

I sincerely doubt that the singer from 4 Non Blonds really does "pray everyday for revolution."

Yeah. Just another of life’s little irritations. Like we needed a new one!

Who told women they had to whisper to sound good on the radio? It’s simply untrue.

Owning up to error is one thing. How on Earth it happened is another.

Compared to Dylan and Springsteen, country-music legend Johnny Cash can seem deeply uncool. It took time for me to appreciate his profound, plainspoken strength, writes Jon Fasman.

I didn’t say “I’ve thought this through!” People* deserve success

Imagine Taylor Swift (say, could be any name) doing a tour, the tickets/merch for which only cover the actual cost of the event. Arena, crew, travel (say). So the tickets were £10 instead of £400. Just because he/she/they say “I’ve made enough, this year/decade”. Naive, I know. But fun to imagine.

Polanski expertly dismantling the "rich people will move if we tax them" narrative, while Denham nimbly demonstrates how very patriotic such people are.

Former Head of Comms for the IEA, Annabel Denham, says the super rich will leave if we have a wealth tax.

Yes, the very same IEA that brought us Liz Truss’ disastrous mini budget. 🤦🏽‍♂️

Green Party leader Zack Polanski explains that their taxable assets can’t leave. #bbcqt

When you could code silly quizzes on Facebook, it was FULL of "what would you be in medieval times?!" etc.

I made one that nearly always answered "died as a child", "died in childbirth", "lived and died as a servant"

People got SUPER mad with it.

Everyone assumes they'll be at the top of the tree

The subtext of ‘we should be more like Dubai’, beyond the obvious racism, is ‘I should have a servant’.
