Watched #thenightmanager series 1 again in prep for series 2. Oh my. A masterpiece. I fear the new guy may not be able to replicate the love director Susanne Bier had for all her actors. She honours them in every frame. Hiddleston and Debicki - the most beautiful humans anyway - are fully electric.

C'mon people! You can protect yourselves and stop spreading disease. Have we learnt bloomin' nothing after all those years of Covid? No one gives a toss if you wear a mask - just do it in crowded places and public transport. And get whatever jabs you can... WAKE UP!

Mum (94) died recently and I’ve been noticing how friends make assumptions about how much mourning time I need. (Don’t blame them, but it’s not based on my own feelings). Found this in one of Mum’s books (Schott’s Miscellany). Wives getting the short straw, as per.
