Winner, winner, chicken dinner!

Unless you'd prefer something else. Pizza? Brisket cooked by Matt Chatham?

IIRC, Vrabel didn't have much say in personnel decisions with the Titans.

"Connection" or not, I'm not sure Brown would be all that useful to the Pats at this point in the rebuild.

That doesn't include C-suite salaries, kickbacks, etc.

And the current system doesn't cover everyone.

I've live here in a rural village for over 25 years. We have a guy who lives on the outskirts who's had a 10-ft tall haybale shrine to Trump since 2015. But Bernie had huge support here and two Greens won seats on our school board.

I've yet to read an "outside" evaluation that get it correct.

Especially 10 days out from the trade deadline. Not sure who they'd acquire, but there are seven teams in the league sitting at 1-4 or worse (Jets, 0-5, lol). OTOH, six of those teams are in the AFC. Only the Saints out of the NFC. If the Pats make them 1-5, they might be willing to give someone up.

CB/ST Charles Woods is also questionable (knee). Even if he's not ruled out, they might want to have an emergency body for the secondary & special teams.

Maine.

Mostly independent, blue-collar and elderly voters. Usually top 2 in voter turnout. We have our contingent of loud, die-hard Trump fans, but they aren't numerous. Our "conservatives" generally aren't MAGA - more pragmatic than ideological. And they're not real happy with the Trump Regime.

Many large "hospital corporations" these days are formed (through acquisition & merger) to produce profits for Wall St shareholders. Some are even in partnerships with large health insurance corporations.

650 people in Brewer, Maine — ready to set off a political earthquake.

As Maine goes, so goes the nation. And that’s exactly why the politicians in Washington, D.C. are so scared.

The museums are being shutdown.
Are we great yet?
Everyone’s being fired.
Are we great yet?
Food is rotting in our fields.
Are we great yet?
The market’s crashing greatly.
Diseases are now running rampant.
At what point aren’t we great?
Our military’s in line at food banks.
So super great.

The nation’s largest private prison company is asking the Supreme Court to give federal contractors blanket immunity from lawsuits — including human trafficking claims.

If they win, private contractors could operate with even less accountability than they do now.
The Human Trafficking Case That Could Hand Government Contractors Blanket Immunity
In a little-noticed Supreme Court case, the country’s largest private prison operator argues companies should be shielded from lawsuits when doing the government’s dirty work.

Our job is not to throw 15 million people off health care and double insurance premiums for more than 20 million.

Our job is not to shutter community health centers, nursing homes and rural hospitals.

Our job is to fix a broken system and guarantee health care to all.

“America is first, and Canada can be second,” U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick was quoted as saying lately.

Here’s a thought Lutnick, Canada is the country America can only dream to be, and we are second to none. 1/

lol gentle reminder that DEI is not illegal. Supporting marginalized groups is not illegal. Anyone reneging on support is making a CHOICE to do so.

What Thiel is saying about tax havens = what Altman is saying about copyright:

"I can't be rich unless you let me steal from you."

This is how Broligarchs differ from oligarchs of yore: the latter tried to hide their thievery; the Broligarchs trumpet their entitlement to steal as a natural right.

The sanctions list includes leaders and companies that provide profits to the Russian military machine, supply weapons, critical components, and equipment.

There are reports that the *entire* office of special education at the US Dept of Education has been cut. These hardworking folks ensure kids with disabilities get equal access to a quality education.

America’s children deserve better than this.
