The one I went to had old ladies pushing dogs in strollers and dads giving their toddlers snacks while they sat in wagons and then we all walked through the main street, stopping politely at crosswalks, to a sing-in at a church. I was TERRIFIED.

In college I once stayed for a night with a family and when I used a big word, their kid asked what it meant and the dad said, "Well how do you find out?" and the kid ran for the dictionary. I LOVED that family.
