Nice! I'll take a look.

I didn’t want to spend the dollar on this, but I thought this book might actually be a self-published gorilla effort that was critical of Facebook. In fact, it’s a very self-aggrandizing and propagandistic little tome published by Facebook itself in 2012 by its “Analog Research Lab.”
Little red book priced for a with the title “Facebook was not originally created to be a company” Inside page reading, “It was built to accomplish a social mission to make the world more open and connected.” Two facing pages. The one on the left reads in large “Everything is up for a debate.” On the right the following text appears: Facebook is not a sacred institution. We don't want to be. So don't be afraid to have an opinion.
The goal should always be to make the best product. Not everyone will agree on the best way to do that, and that's fine. Do what you think is best, and if someone disagrees with you, argue your case. Just don't be a jerk.
And yes, Zuck founded the company and he's the CEO, but remember, he's also just a dude. Don't waste your time trying to do what you think he'd like. Or what you think he's thinking. Or what you think he might have said that one time when you were walking behind him on your way to the bathroom. You ed to have your opinion. Not his. Two facing pages. On the left is an image reading “this journey one percent finished.” on the right you can see this book was printed in 2012 and that the book was “brought to you by your friends at the Facebook analog research laboratory.”

YES. Benicio is the solid, modest, organized, actually get shit done in my community guy. Leo's character is sympathetic, well meaning, but befuddled, largely unproductive. And intentionally portrayed as such, I believe.

Yesterday some folks said I'd like ONE BATTLE AFTER ANOTHER more as it sat with me, and you know what, yeah, that's right.

Sean Penn is going to get all the awards buzz, but Benicio Del Toro is the quiet scene stealer of this film.

100% agree. Also, when anyone criticizes the "antifa" bogeyman, I'd ask them, "What does 'antifa' mean?" If they do say "anti-fascist," I'm guessing they'll then bloviate about how antifa isn't really antifascist, but I'd love to hear them say that they're against anti-fascists out loud.
chanda.blacksky.app
I prefer “anti-fascist“ for a host of reasons and this is a nice practical one.
ifycomedy.com
I think we really should stop using antifa and just fully say anti-fascist and get them saying they are against anti fascism. Using antifa is giving them some distance and I genuinely think some of their base don’t even know that’s what it stands for.

Writing something about ICE and sweet Jesus it is so incredibly dark what they are doing to these cities. We have all seen the videos, but when you wade into the details of their actions, it is extraordinarily bleak.

We should be putting up signs to mark these acts of state violence in every community in the country.
Signs popping up around D.C. note: ‘ICE kidnapping happened here’
The neighborhood signs follow an older tradition of simply bearing witness — in this case, to the arrests by federal agents of immigrants who make up the fabric of some neighborhoods.

There are reports that the *entire* office of special education at the US Dept of Education has been cut. These hardworking folks ensure kids with disabilities get equal access to a quality education.

America’s children deserve better than this.

Who looks more ridiculous: The guy in the frog suit exercising his first amendment rights? Or the dudes playing army, terrorizing, assaulting, and arresting innocent people?
stribs.bsky.social
Buck wild how these guys try to turn terms like “No Kings” and “antifa” into the exact opposite of what they stand for. “Empathy” is bad, too, let’s not forget. Five more minutes before “democracy now!” and “Vote!” will be called anti-American sentiments, too.

Johnson slams the No Kings protest march scheduled to take place in DC next week as the “hate America rally” that would draw “the pro-Hamas wing” and “the antifa people.”
Johnson describes planned No Kings rally as ‘hate America,’ ‘pro-Hamas’ gathering
Organizers largely blew off the rhetoric, but some Democrats online criticized the tone.

Mainstream media needs to be playing these videos non-stop and following up on clear abuses of power.

Where is the investigative journalism?

I’ve seen perhaps hundreds of these videos and they are happening all across the country right now.

These are not isolated events.

Photos taken around midtown Manhattan today
Sign near Rockefeller Center reading “New York is a separate country.” Attributed to “Mickey” Famous Rockefeller Center art deco carving/sculpture entitled “Wisdom.” Features say God likes man growing with a compass in the clouds. Script beneath that reads, “wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times” Red fire truck parked at a fire station with a large Batman figure attached to its front.
