Genuinely don’t like the fact that one of the most sure fire ways to go viral or get validation in this modern era is to be cynical.

You give up the game before it even starts, you lose.

You don’t have to irrationally optimistic but “lol nothing matters” isn’t better.

Oh for sure. A lot of people who took the pandemic very seriously turned it into a personality. Pivoted quickly from “flatten the curve, save lives” to “simply going outside is mass murder.”

I’m not at all an expert, just kind of going off my own lived experience.

I do know a lot of the people I went to high school and/or college with who were real into the “I hate people” trends now very much wear the red hats.

Somewhat related, it’s always wild to me to see an ad during a sporting event or something for a show and they’ll be like “The explosive season 6 finale…”

Wait, hold on, this show I’ve never seen advertised, never heard it discussed, never seen reviews has SIX seasons?!

That’s a whole different issue, and I agree, but the fact that everyone and their mom in the 2010s loved getting mugs, shirts, posting memes, etc…about doing nothing, hating people, and the like, even if it was in jest, played a role in people becoming antisocial

Not to mention, I’m wildly guilty of this too, we’ve replaced actual, productive socializing with the internet.

Go to a bar, a park, a sporting event, etc…and meet people.

Even after a stressful day or week, I promise, it’ll lift your mood.

This, the whole “I hate people” meme, and I know this last one won’t be horribly popular, the mainstreaming of therapy speak have done so much damage.

Yes, you should take care of your mental health, but becoming a shut in and never feeling like you should reciprocate others in your life is…bad!

not only that, but when Dems do get organized and pay creators who are pushing aligned content, all of a sudden it becomes an attack line against them. meanwhile Russia literally pays conservative commentators and they are cool with it

Democrats, progressive and moderate, are using tactics from the 1970s.

Republicans spend hundreds of millions on networking, jobs, and outreach every year. Democrats waste their money on obsolete stuff.

A. Democrats are losers
B. Democrats have special powers to control primaries so good candidates don’t win
C. Democrats don’t use those powers to win general elections
D. Therefore there are no Dem legislators, AG’s, governors, US Reps, or Senators, & Biden was never president
