We stepped away from Geocaching for a couple years. Imagine our surprise today when I found TWO caches in the backyard where only one was placed. The original disappeared in 2022 so we replaced it. Someone returned the original cache in the past few months but we don't know when!

And while getting the boxes done, friendly feral feline Spot took advantage of distracted humans to sneak into the house to explore. Today he went upstairs to my yarn room. Glad he's such a good sport about being found, picked up, and placed back outside. 🐈‍⬛

With the snow arriving this weekend, ushering in a long, cold winter, we decided to get the feral cat huts placed on the front porch. Fresh straw added, five boxes up front, three out back. Hopefully the four kittens will occupy one of the larger boxes and have a comfortable winter.

* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations between 6 and
12 inches possible above 6000 ft with 3 to 6 inches possible below
6000 ft. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE...The Continental Divide along the Rocky Mountain Front.

* WHEN...From Saturday evening through Monday morning.

* IMPACTS...Cold, wet, and raw outdoor conditions develop Saturday
night and worsen through Monday morning bringing an increased risk
for hypothermia to those not properly dressed for the weather.
Roads in Glacier National Park and mountain passes in Teton and
central and northern Lewis and Clark County, including
Going-to-the-Sun Road and Logan Pass may become difficult to
travel or impassible. Tire chains may be needed for those
traveling over mountain passes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There will also be the potential for some icy
roads and bridges as melting snow refreezes due to falling
temperatures.

* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 11
inches possible at pass level.

* WHERE...Little Belt and Highwood Mountains and Gallatin and
Madison County Mountains and Centennial Mountains.

* WHEN...From Saturday evening through late Sunday night.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Tire chains may be
needed for those traveling over mountain passes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There will also be the potential for some icy
