Maybe I'm biased (I am) but to me this looks better for AOC than newsome because AOC supports popular things and Newsom is just vibes with a TON of oppo that just isn't mainstream focus (yet) - it seems like if they are polling similarly now an environment that digs in would favor AOC strongly.

yeah it's a sorta obviously good idea (though its implications for "nation" are maybe not so good - but I think it can be argued pretty easily that "nation" is kinda out the window and maybe a bad idea on its own). Either way it rug pulls a lot of justification for institutions to Be Shitty.
