A truly extraordinary writer. I was on the jury for the Independent Foreign Fiction prize the year Sátántangó was published in English, and was convinced it would win… sadly, I could not even persuade my fellow jury members to put it on the shortlist.

I finally got to 'Rosy and John' on my list, and it was great. I wasn't sure, considering the size (not a good way to pre-judge a reading experience!), that it'd be an interesting addition to the series but it certainly is. I'm putting together a bitesize episode on it. Thanks for the suggestion.
