The pandemic demonstrated that many Americans are willing to view the first three groups as expendable.

Fascism doesn't start with soldiers in the streets. It starts with deciding who is expendable: the sick, the disabled, the aging, the refugees, the immigrants, the outsiders, the people who think too much, speak too loudly, and refuse to bow.

Yes, Sean I do have hummingbirds here all year, but I don’t have a way to photograph them because they are mostly on the flowers or in the plants eating aphids. But we do have one species that over winters and I do like to offer a food to them. The other hummingbirds that visit here are all migrants

I only put hummingbird feeders out from Oct to May. I was late this year and put the food out yesterday late afternoon for the first time this season.

Wren starts off on a log and then she takes a bath in the wildlife pond. We can’t really see the bath. We can only see a little bit of the wren, making the motion and the pond water moving. #DT

Last night when I replaced the batteries in this camera I put it in a new location and this morning I got a small clip of Pacific Wren. This wren is genetically most related to the Winter Wren, primarily seen on the East Coast. #Birds

Most of the birds that visit me love suet
The exception here are goldfinches and House finches, but they have plenty of seeds in my yard
