Our California Scrub Jays don’t visit the camera feeders very often, but I love it when they do. They seem to prefer the suet and the woodpecker feeders. #Birds #California #Nature. #Sonoma

one more of a raccoon eating in the wildlife pond last night -so cute.

I don’t think you’re going be able to see this, but it looks like the other Juncos attack or keep away from the leucistic Junco #Birds

The attack is in the first part of the video which seems to have trouble posting on blue sky

yellow rumped warbler sneaking in a few moments at the wildlife pond while Song Sparrow isn’t present. #Birds

The bird is on a log looks like she’s looking for something to eat then she comes to the shore and looks down and then she goes out of you

Crow early today at the wildlife pond. (Song Sparrow is purposely absent) #Birds
The crow is either drinking or dipping food in the pond on the left hand side. My house is in the background. It’s kind of blurry on the left-hand side also from rain.

Song Sparrow left an hour ago so she didn’t get this tasty worm. Do you see it? this is at the wildlife pond. 🪱

last night around four 2 raccoons were out in the rain rearranging the pond. I will check the rest of the cameras to see if there was a third one.

There was a talk by the film makers about making the movie and about trans sports in general. One thing I loved is that Canadian Women & Sport made a donation to Alphabet Sports Collective! Whereas in the UK, Women's Sports Union is suing people for being inclusive. Get your shit together, UK.

Yesterday we went to see Pink Light, a short film about a trans man who loves the one thing that unites all Canadians- playing hockey.

It was so good, defo try to see it if it's playing at any film festivals near you. I think they said it's going to Vancouver soon. Then later it'll be on streaming

here is one of the immature towhees he doesn’t have the piercing red eyes yet-still so beautiful. His parents did such a great job. Look at that gorgeous tail shake at the beginning. he then takes a bath. #Birds
This one was here this summer, not nesting in my yard, but I saw him as a juvenile.

The birds are being very utilitarian today, no songs, just look for food, eat, keep moving. #Birds
White Crowned sparrow gets on camera twice here there’s other birds in the background I believe dark eyed Juncos. I miss their singing. They are hardly singing this year at all.

some drama at the protected bath this I can tell is a different song sparrow. It almost has a mohawk to it, but I was absolutely sure it was a different song sparrow when our resident Song Sparrow comes and chases them away. she definitely has eyes in the back of her head. #Birds

another misty day here we are living in the clouds right now in the Pacific Northwest so even though it’s not raining, everything is wet. The birds were in a hurry unless they were eating here is Bewick’s Wren in the backyard. #Birds

checking in at the little pine nut feeder I offer Pinenuts in this feeder and only the little birds have ever accessed it. I give them a teaspoon a day.

just getting to yesterday’s footage and I still have some monday footage to check. Rain and cold means birds don’t stay on the camera they might get caught hoping or flying by. this Golden Crowned Sparrow was unusual yesterday, it stayed a while to try and bathe. #Birds

good morning

i can’t tell if this is the same family -there are three raccoons. They stayed a long time and looked for food throughout the whole front yard last night. The birds will have a mucky pond today.
