You can only have so many tech billionaire supervillains before someone dresses up as their favourite animal to conceal their identity as they try to help people.

“I’m worried about my community… I’m out here in a frog costume to show how ridiculous the notion that we’re violent terrorists is, and showcase how that narrative is wrong…”

Serious Q: is it too late to give this dude the Nobel Peace Prize? 🐸 🏆

These are the kind of posters that you spraypaint over with an image you bought via a microtransaction in the in-game store and you have to get all of them to achieve 100% completion on the game.

Found this just incredibly depressing, more than anything.
An easel sign reads, “UCLA

Just to clear, the implication here is that ICE's emotional response to the inflatable frog is "terror".

Imagine being this lame
The Telegraph saying that an activist dancing dressed as a frog is a terrorist (in coward quotes), and for some reason they’ve added that the person is non-binary

Fatherhood with a four-month-old baby who has suddenly discovered thrashing her legs and shrieking at nothing:
A Simpsons screenshot with Rainier Wolfcastle filming his movie Saving Irene Ryan, carrying an old woman who shouts and continually kicks him in the crotch, while saying "Shut up, old lady, and stop kicking me there."

I still reckon they should have gone with my Jason Mamoa/Corbyn casting suggestion.

Jonny Lee Miller Major was confusing for a lot of us.

(Sigh) No, the bear is even hotter, obviously.

*THAT* is how you two met?!

I suppose it's marginally better than him Cyrano de Begeracing for the Hofmeister Bear.
thebrainofchris.bsky.social
Having looked up the story, I think the biggest difference between the two is that one is carved directly into the stone so that it can still be legibly read centuries later, while the other will be cleaned up as if it was never there by the end of January. If anything, Canterbury is chickening out.

In fact, graffiti from that period is one of the only direct historical sources we have from working class people themselves, rather than about them by the nobility.
thebrainofchris.bsky.social
For many medieval, and even up to the renaissance, peasants, it was often used to memorialise people. A lot of the graffiti you can find today is names in house shapes that mirror the memorials of richer figures from the time.
thebrainofchris.bsky.social
Nah mate, medieval churches were chill with it. It was practically a form of worship. Mind, this was back when people used to take cattle through the cathedral if it was quickest way.
But the word "graffiti" didn't even exist until the 19th century and then it didn't have any moral connotations.

Posting this shit like I wouldn't immediately read it.

Ahab-Whale friends-to-enemies fan fic to be turned into a bestselling novel in 2025
thebrainofchris.bsky.social
See if it was the third Slimy Bad Boy/Girl Nerd friends-to-enemies wizard romance novel I'd be like, fine, a trend's a trend, we're all out here merrily stealing in an attempt to find what works.

But they can't sell it without saying the quiet bit loud, can they?
thebrainofchris.bsky.social
I think we're talking at cross purposes. "Having an opinion" is good actually, it's good to learn and think about things going on in the world around you to come to at least temporary conclusions based on that until further information presents itself.
"Posting a take" is the thing you don't need.
thebrainofchris.bsky.social
Oh crap, my feed now has two different opinions on the Nobel Peace Prize winner so now I'm going to have to learn about her myself and form my own opinion but I am *busy* and *tired*.
